The process of lyrical abstract painting begins with colors flowing through water and pigments—soft pinks and purples mixed with the heat of red and smoky orange. A white line is drawn, and a transparent Cadmium red layer is added, creating a balance between calmness and intensity. The tile-like pattern challenges the viewer’s perspective on both the artwork and its materiality, blurring the line between decoration and structure.

I often find myself drawn to the perfection of straight lines, their neat containment, much like the structure of the canvas itself. Bu then, there’s a pull to soften it all - letting a wandering mind take over, painting with instinct. Starting with muted, nude tones, I layer from the darkest hues, gradually exposing a medium pink oil color as the final touch. It becomes a long, evolving process - revealing and concealing.
